1854/55 Lithographed 4a. blue & red two singles from 4th printing (both cut-to-shape but probably from different stones) paying the British ship rate of 1/- on part letter from Calcutta to France, both tied by diamont dots, sender oval in blue, red boxed "INDIA PAID" and parts of French maritime datestamp and French inland h/s "10" alongside, on back red "CALCUTTA/1855/MAY/18" cds with date inverted, "PARIS/2e/30/JUIN/1855" transit dater and St. Servan arrival cds. Both adhesives with portions of outer framelines touched/cut but fresh and fine else, the letter fragment shows 3/4 of front and 1/2 of back.
