Gallipoli Campaign 1914: Stampless soldier's concessionary cover from base in the Dardanelles used to Constantinople, cancelled by bold strike of "SAHRA POSTASI / 21" Field Post Office datestamp (Oct 5) struck in violet with Officer's handstamp in blue at lower left and Galata arrival on reverse. An early Military cover - War had been declared the week before, on 27 September 1914.
