1863 (Jan 5): Cover from Loano to Nizza, bearing 1862 40 c. red-carmine, a fresh single adhesive from position 50 showing variety: imperforated at base, sheet margin with complete 'linea di riquadro' included, tied by light LOANO cds in black (Sassone SV/GE = 6 punti). "P.D." handstamp in black and French "ITALIE MENTON 7 JANV 63" entry cds in red alongside. Reverse with illisible arrival cds. Cover with some imperfections but a very rare & sought after variety on cover. Signed A. Diena; cert. Bottacchi (2003) Sassone = € 45'000.
