Postal Stationery 1916: 1 d. red 'star' postal stationery envelope, Die I, printed to order with charming "Rosella Preserving & Manufacturing Co." coloured advertising featuring a Parrot at left, up-rated with 1 d. red, Die I, locally maialed within Melbourne tied by machine cancel (June 28, 1916) in black. Charming and rare: a less attractive 'window-pane' example of this envelope is illustrated in Brusden White on page 243, this represents a very early first week of issue usage of the basic Star 1 d. envelope believed issued on 22 June 1916 BW EP7.
