Colonial 1592/1595: Entire letter mailed from Lima to Cuzco endorsed 'Inquiss.on' at lower left (Inquisition), the letter signed and clearly dated inside, the letter started in 1592 and then finished three years later when the initial instructions had been carried out. Exceptional early letter mailed just 100 years after Colombus's first voyage to the Americas and only 50 years after Pizarro's brutal destruction of Inca society.
