1841:  Letter from La Guayara (May 24) to Hamburg forwarded by British Packet,  endorsed with Part strike 'La Guayara Franco' in red. The letter bears a British tax mark and a 40 Schilling tax in red for 40 Hamburg Schillings payable. An oval Stadtpost cachet (Jul 13) is struck on the back documenting a sailing time of around seven weeks. A rare letter.
