Crown CC, FOUR PENCE surcharge 15½-16½ mm. in black, a used horizontal strip of three on 1864 cover to London, Goodman correspondence, with fair to large margins all round, cancelled in manuscript ink. Oval framed "POST OFFICE / ST. HELENA" cachet at lower left (July 26) in black. Manuscript "11" pence credit GB with "London / Paid" cds of receipt adjacent (Aug 26) in red. Illustrated in "St. Helena" by Edward Hibbert on page 37. Just four covers are recorded bearing this stamp. A famous and extremely rare cover.
