Pacific War 1879: Cover from Antofagasta with sender's cachet at left mailed to Copiapo, Chile at quintuple rate, struck with five impressions of the octagonal 10 c. "Correo / Antofagasta" frank marking in blue; reverse with COPIAPO arrival cds (January 2) in black. Some contemporary docketing explaining contents "Daniel Barrios, Cartas de Quesada i un Contrato". Edge faults but very rare - the highest recorded franking. Ex the Brian Moorhouse estate.
