Lots & Collections 1865/88: Selection of Essays and Proofs, comprising 1865 4 r. red-brown eagles head facing right essay in a sheetlet format with eight impressions all cancelled by "3154" lozenge, has gum which is browned; 1881 Coat of Arms vignette, four individual die proofs in black on white paper, showing various designs of the central vignette, imprinted American Bank Note Co., all mounted on biege card; the Emilia Rivadeneira essay based upon the 1881 5 c. (4), in blue, red, yellow and green, imperforates mounted on a strip of paper, some soiling and folded between each stamp, scarce group and 1887/88 papel sellado 'stamp' proof dies on coloured backgrounds with 5 c., 10 c., 20 c., 40 c., (three different colours) and 1 s., plus renumbered negative small dies of the same five values in black mounted on card (x12), a fine and unique group, fantastic lot.
