1878: Morazan ½ r. black, a used horizontal pair on 1889 cover to Altenburg, Saxony endorsed "via New Orleans & New York", tied by circulr three ring target handstamps in violet. Oval "ADMINISTRACION DE CORREOS / DE DISTRITO / SAN PEDRO SULA" despatcd datestamp in violet (April 8) at left. Reverse with "REPUBLIQUE DE HONDURAS / BUREAU POSTAL D'ÉXCHANGE / PUERTO CORTEZ" datestamp of transit (April 16) in blue, New Orleans transit (April 22) and New York (April 25) datestamps alongside Altenburg arrival (May 8) cds. Adhesives applied on edge of cover and slightly wrinkled but a very rare usage. Ex the Brian Moorhouse estate.
