lot # 4047 - grossbritannien
1884: 4 d. dull green, in combination with Jubilee 1887 ½ d. vermilion and 6 d. purple on rose red, used on a parcel post label affixed to parcel tag, sent from Emsworth, Hampshire to Kensington, London, dated 26 April 1889, tied by fine black Emsworth cds. Most attractive tri-colour combination. The 4 d. dull green is rare in any mixed franking with non-contemporary stamps; this is the only example recorded.
