Auction 333-341 Western Australia & Great Britain - Day 3

1877/80: Sage 15 c. blue, strip of four, used on cover, from Paris sent locally, dated 27 June 1880, cancelled by a Pearson Hill Parallel Motion Machine Trial 'Paris / Depart' cancel in black with partial Paris arrival mark dated the same day. Toning to left side and pin hole well clear of stamps. A rare example; one of less than five known.
Note: Pioneering Mechanical Machine Trial between 18 June 1880 to 23 August 1881. The 22mm double-circle Dater-Dial in duplex indicating city, time, date and year, with each dial having a different type size.
