1847 (Nov 6): 10 d. brown, embossed, margins all round and part of adjacent stamp to left, used on small envelope, from London to Paris, dated 7 August 1851, tied by London Inland '23' barred oval in black, with 'PD' oval in red and Calais French transit in black alongside. To reverse a circular dispatch backstamp in red, a Blackheath straightline in blue and faint arrival. Cover is soiled and some creasing around the edges. Scarce stamp on cover Gi = £ 3'000.
