British Protectorate 1815-1864 1829 (June 10/22): Entire letter to Paxos with fair only large oval Coat od Arms "OFFICIO DELLA POSTA GENERALE / CORFU" in black and hooded datestamp of despatch; struck on arrival with hooded "PAXO" datestamp (June 23) well struck in red - one of only two recorded examples thus, the other being dated May 17, 1829. Rare and most elusive. Cert. Simmermacher (2011).
