British Protectorate 1815-1864 1831 (June 8): Entire letter from Ithaca to Svronata, Cefalonia struck with fine circular "ISOLA D'ITACA" in black with reverse showing hooded strikes of "Itaca" despatch (June 8) and hooded "Cefalonia" arrival in black (June 15). Overly toasted for disinfection, with manuscript "D1" (1d.) to pay and marked "Rifiutata" (Refused) alongside. Fault on reverse but of fine appearance.
