1859 (June 15): 1 d. blue, a used example in a deep shade with close even margins all round, just touched within frameline at lower right, on 1862 entire letter from Zakynthos to Stefano Ralli in Trieste cancelled by four manuscript ink lines in black with "ZAKYNTHOS" despatch cds (Aug 19) in blue at left. The 1 d. local charge paid for the letter to be delivered to the Lloyd steamer. Reverse with Triest arrival (Aug 22) in red. A very rare and most attractive entire. Cert. Simmermacher (2024).
