French & Russian Post Office in Beirut 1874 (Dec 30): Envelope to Aleppo, bearing Russian Levant 1868 10 kop. carmine & green perf. 11½ tied by indistinct '783' numeral (Tchilinghirian fig. 216), transfered to the French post office, where franked with Siège 40 c. orange (Yv 38), minor imperfections, tied by Gros Chiffres '5082' numeral in black, "BEYROUTH SYRIE" datestamp in black and framed PD in red alongside. Some toning and slightly shortened at right, nevertheless an exceptional two-country combinaton cover, signed A. Diena, cert. BPA (1961), Buchsbayew (2024).
