lot # 194 - 1: Lighter-Than-Air Flights Graf Zeppelin Collateral Material
[Autograph] "Mrs. Peter Holland, The Flying Grandmother" on the 1933 Chicago Flight, bold autograph on the inside cover of a tri-fold advertising folder used by Mrs. Holland to promote her speaking tour. Also includes two photos of the Zeppelin over prominent buildings in Akron. Mrs. Holland, at the age of 74, and unbeknownst to her family, flew on the Zeppelin on its return voyage from Akron to Seville and Friedrichshafen, thus becoming the oldest person to cross the ocean by air. She even received a certificate from Dr. Eckener acknowledging that accomplishment.
Estimate $100 - 150.
