United States -- Scott PR1 Rare used newspaper stamp
Without gum as issued, blue brushstroke P cancel, perfs clipped off three sides, tears visible on left side, creases, 3 pinholes. All of these faults are typical of used versions of PR1. These stamps were placed on the top newspaper in a stack to show tax had been paid. Most were discarded.
