Transition Period – Envelope of "Kevutzat Ha'Shelichim" (Group of Delivery People) of Haifa – Rare
During the chaos before the establishment of the State, March-May 1948, which is also known as the "Transition Period", there were disruption in the work of the post offices around the country and the postage stamps of the British mandate were stopped being used.
In Haifa, postal services were organized by a group of delivery people, Postage stamps and postmarks were issued.
The envelope before us was sent by this group. The envelope bears a postage stamp of 20 Mil. On the postage stamp, there is a Hebrew stamp: "Delivered Haifa 2303 Riga Coffee Shop"
תקופת המעבר - מעטפה של "קבוצת השליחים" בחיפה - נדיר
בחיפה התארגן שרות דואר של "קבוצת השליחים" שפעל בקפה ריגה. הונפקו בולים וחותמות.
המעטפה שלפנינו נשלחה על ידי קבוצת השליחים. המעטפה נושאת בול של 20 מיל. על הבול חותמת: "נמסר חיפה טל 2302 קפה ריגה"
