GRAN BRETAÑA. 1837. ´Dickinson´ Letter Sheet (1d. For 1 Ounce), design in yellow-buff on wove paper with silk threads, with ´London District Post´ within woven design on reverse and ´Not To Exceed One Ounce´ at left and right, space left for address in centre. Slight fault on front panel but very rare: it was the adoption of John Dickinson´s scheme that was to lead to Penny Postage in 1840. A seldom seen item.
