1885/88, small dragon 3 Ca. bright mauve, a vertical strip of three cancelled by two strikes of black Shanghai seal with "Customs Shanghai Ju 20 88" cds alongside, on reverse of combination cover with France, type sage 25 C. (faults) tied "Shang-hai 21 Juil 88" with a second strike alongside, to Berlin/Germany with "1/9" delivery mark on reverse. Cover horizontal crease at foot not affecting stamps. 9 Ca. paid the full internal and external rate to Europe.
