1867, entire letter from the French P.O. in Constantinople sent unpaid to Athens with "Constantinople / Turquie 13 MARS 67" cds as despatch, with manuscript "50" Lepta charge in red on front (30 lepta ship fee plus 20 lepta internal charge) and franked on arrival with 1862/67 10 Lepta + 40 lepta Large Hermes Heads tied by "ATHENS MAR 3" (Julian calendar), with repeated strike on reverse. Both stamps are superb, and the entire letter is itself very fresh and fine. Outstanding quality. Signed Holcombe.
