1841 2d. blue with white line, imperf, vertical BLOCK OF 10 (5x2) lettered LK/LL to PK/PL, used on folded cover from Glasgow to Schönau Wiesenthal, Grand Duchy of Baden in 1845, all tied by Scottish numeral "159", backstamped octagonal "N/GLASGOW/APR 3/1845" and London transit c.d.s. both in red. The block of ten shows fresh colour, slightly cut/touched to complete margins all round and mostly fine. On cover's front there is a hole in the top left corner where another stamp has been removed, probably. Nevertheless, a spectacular multiple. (Ex "European Family" coll.)
