1927/1928: Group of five covers of a family correspondence from the German-Afghan Company in Kabul to Berlin, Germany via the northern route Landikhana-Peshawar, four with combination franking Afghan/Indian adhesives (pre-UPU), the latest dated 14 March 1928, and one early UPU cover (July 1928) bearing a 1928 40p. only. One cover with an Indian KGV. 1a. stamp missing, covers creased (more or less) and/or opened roughly, but still a good group representing the transition from pre-UPU to UPU period.
