1848: Entire letter from Port Louis to Bordeaux endorsed "Lady Valiant" via the Cape showing "MAURITIUS / POST OFFICE" despatch cds in black (Nov 30), landed with framed "Torquay / SHIP LETTER" in blue (Robertson fig. S1). Torquay cds in blue and London cds in red (March 6, 1849) and struck with framed "COLONIES / &c. ART.13" in red. Thence via Boulogne and charged '20' décimes' due on arrival. A fine and very scarce entire.
