1894: Tannenberg Essay for proposed 2½ d. value, with Queens's head in oval and cockatoo at right, stamp size and hand-painted on thick card (32 x 36 mm.) in pencil, black, grey and inscriptions picked out in Chinese white. "Finis Coronat Opus" nom-de-plume of designer (almost certainly M. Tannenberg given the similarity to the accepted designs). Exquisite and unique.
