1850: Sydney View 1 d. carmine, Plate I on soft yellowish paper, position 1 used on 1850 cover to Scotland in combination with 2 d. grey-blue, Plate I, in a horizontal pair, positions 21-22, the 1 d. with small nick above top right corner star, the 2 d. pair very fine; each tied by "51" numeral obliterator of Deniliquin on despatch. Reverse with oval "DENILIQUIN / ♚ / NEW S. WALES" datestamp and "MAIDEN'S PUNT / ♚ PORT PHILLIP" transit (July 18) and London cds in red (Nov 19). Lanark boxed arrival on obverse (Nov 20) and charged '8d.' due in manuscript for Ship Letter. Minor file fold but a rare and most attractive cover. Cert. BPA (2008).rnProvenance: Collection E.R.
