1841: 1 d. pink envelope used in 1852 to Zurich, Switzerland, up-rated with 1847/54 Embossed 10 d. brown, Die 2, shaved margins, tied by blurred '635' numeral obliterators of Reading with despatch cds in blue on reverse (July 15); paying the 11 d. per ¼ ounce rate. Readdressed from Zurich to Luzern and charged '15' rappen due in red manuscript on arrival with reverse showing Basel (July 18), Zurich and Luzern cds's. Scarce.
