1866: India 4 a. green (Gi. 69), a horizontal pair used on 1874 entire letter to Muaritius endorsed "via Bombay & Aden" tied by bold "PONDICHERRY / M19" duplex in black (Sept 1). Carried by Train from Madras to Sholapore (Sept 3) and Bombay (Sept 4). Thence by P&O steamer "Sumatra" to Aden (Sept 12) and the French steamer "Godavery" via Mahe and Réunion to Mauritius (Sept 30). A charming and scarce entire.
