1886/96: Allegorical figure 1 s. 6 d. Die Proof in pink engraved by Charles Naish, line perforated 12½, affixed to thick brown card (70 x 88 mm.), annotated "2/4/87" in ink on obverse and "RB87/1319" in pencil on reverse. Geoff Kellow RDP in "The Stamps of Victoria" page 269 states that this Proof was requested by the Postmaster General but was rejected due to the similarity of colour with exisitng values.
