1852/53: Entire letters (2) to France with 1852 entire from Lima with "LIMA / VAPOR" in blue (Colareta 34v) on reverse alongside British P.O. Callao cds (Dec 26), two line "PANAMA / TRANSIT" in red and taxed "21" décimes due; matched with similar 1853 entire letter from Lima to Pau, France via Southampton, erroneously struck with framed "COLONIES / &c. ART 13" in red and deleted by London numeral obliterator - carried at triple rate and charged "63" décimes due to pay. Scarce pairing. Ex the Brian Moorhouse estate.
