Auction 309-320 - Great Britain 1840–1841 Europe & Overseas - Day 5

1920: (9. Mar.): 1d. carmine, London overprint, two examples together with 1/2d green on registered letter to FRANKFURT, tied by two crisp  strikes of the single circle AGU canceller. The letter is very fresh and a great specimen of this difficult office. LOME (9. Mar.) and ACCRA (12. Mar.) transits but no arrival. A very scarce letter.
