1850 (Aug): 1 d. brownish red, Plate II, on soft yellowish paper, no clouds, a used horizontal pair with just clear to large margins all round, used on 1851 cover to Hartley Post Office, Bathurst Road; tied by "12" numeral obliterators of Cowra in brownish ink. Reverse with oval "COWRA / ♚ / NEW S. WALES" datestamp (July 9) and arrival of the following day. Cover #194 in the Ben Palmer census, illustrated on page 165.
