1897: Golden Jubilee Essay / Proof for the ½ d. value in black with six impressions ( 3 x 2) struck on surfaced wove paper (65 x 83 mm.) annotated in manuscript "9/10/97" and endorsed "Proof A.R.McK." (the artist A.R. McKellar) in the lower margin in pencil. A new process was operated to produce this stamp - the photo-zincograph was utilised to produce a single electrotype Master from an original drawing by McKellar.
