1849: Cérès 1 fr. carmine, a used example with ample to large margins all round in a vibrant cherry shade, used on 1852 triple rate cover to Perpignan tied by Paris Star obliterator. Paris cds of despatch (Sept 9) at left and Perpignan arrival cds on reverse of a fine and attractive cover. Signed Von der Weid.
