Dutch Guiana 1873/89: 2½ c. rose, two single examples and a horizontal pair, used on 1888 registered cover endorsed "via Southampton" with 5 c. dull violet in a horizontal strip of five, with two 2½ c. rose, one with unobtrusive corner fault, tied PARAMARIBO cds (July 13) and the balance of the adhesives cancelled by four strikes of "SURINAME / OVER / SOUTHAMPTON" handstamps in brown. Violet registration label below and "Registered / London" arrival (Aug 6) in red. Some edge wear to envelope but a delightful and scarce franking.
