1870: Bagheri 2 shahi green, two fine examples used on 13 July 1874 cover from Tabriz to Teheran, the stamps uncancelled as usual, the cover with full original contents but whilst the latter is fine the outer cover is somewhat frayed around the edges. An exceptional usage of the first issue on cover of great rarity. Signed Holcombe. Provenance: Corinphila sale 87, October 1993, lot 3980.
