Varna Austrian Consular P.O. 1852: Prepaid cover mailed "via Trieste" to a Captain Sleigh in London, with two line "VARNA / 10 FEB" handstamp (Tchilinghirian fig. 884) of despatch and "FRANCA" (fig. 888) both struck in green. Trieste transit (Feb 29) and London arrival (March 6) in red. An extremely early usage of this datestamp, possibly the earliest - Tchilinghirian rates this year of use as "RRR".
