Austrian Lloyd 1864: Arms 3 s. green, perf. 9½ and 1867 25 s. grey-lilac, used on 1869 entire letter from Varna to Genova, Italy endorsed "Via Corfu e Brindisi", tied by fine strikes of "LLOYD AGENZIE / VARNA" circular datestamps (Jan 21) in black (Tchilinghirian fig. 939) with "P.D." in red below. Carried by Italian packet with framed "PIROSCAFI / POSTALI / ITALIANI" handstamp in black. Reverse with "Lloyd Agenzie / Costantinopoli" cds (Jan 22), Brindisi cds and Genova arrival: The entire opens well for Exhibit display. Genuine combination frankings of these issues are only found on this crrespondence. A rare and most attractive cover.
