Second French Occupation 1807-1809/1814 1809 (Oct 31): "Orders of the Day" entire sent within Corfu by the Military Paymaster to "le Commissaire des Guerres Armand" (informing him that vinegar supplies had run ou) struck with framed italic "L'Ord.teur dans les / Iles Ioniennes" in black and reverse showing the circular French Imperial Eagle cachet of the Paymaster in red. Scarce and very fine.
