1905 Dickie trial slot machine strip of 22 "stamps" with 2 large holes between each stamp, but blank except for hand scratched "4" - therefore reserve plate paper. Also part "New Zealand Postag(e)" wmk (2 folds). Note: Kundin mentioned Dickie probably used blank paper to demonstrate his machine, but when sheets were cut for producing coils lower selvedges would have been superfluous. A remarkable item.
