Face is black on light peach and lime green underprint, Official looking notable on right, bank building one left, facing dragons on top with seal, back is red, peach and lime green with facing dragons on top with seal, ornate title, No Serial Numbers, the note appears Choice AU Condition with large even margins, exceptional paper quality and fresh appearance but there is a very light fold vertically in the middle and a light corner bend on the top right corner that keeps this lovely note from Uncirculated to CU condition.  Lot 733 - foreign banknotes - Archives International Auctions Part XVIIP.C. L. Baudin, Holograph Letter Dated 1793 With Historic Numismatic Content. Paris, France, May 8, 1793. Hand written letter by P.C.L Baudin, a member of the government and Directeur des Postes, releasing Guerin, Inspector of Paper, after the issuance of 300 Million Assignats on paper that Guerin inspected. The letter freed Guerin from his position. Also included are two different possible reproductions of official French Government announcements, both announcing the 1792 issue of new assignats. Extremely rare early French Banknote related documents. Fine with light foxing on the letter as well as a couple of small corner tip bends, otherwise they appear in VF condition.
