Glossy medium brown and chocolate with satiny mint frost showing in protected areas. The surfaces are smooth and this cent offers excellent eye appeal. Attractive glossy medium chocolate brown with slightly lighter steel brown toning on the devices. No spots, stains, or roughness, only light contact marks scattered over both sides. A very dull nick between the C & A in AMERICA can help identify this cent. EDS with a light die crack through the top of ATES (even the earliest strikes have this crack). Our grade is F15. Lustrous light chocolate and bluish steel with peeps of very faded mint red in protected areas on the reverse. Nice eye appeal. The only marks are a speck of reddish brown toning over star 10 and a short horizontal scratch right of star 3. MDS with flowlines and die clashmarks on both sides. Very attractive glossy light to medium chocolate brown with lighter frosty steel brown and tan toning in protected areas. No spots, stains, or notable contact marks. The only defects are a patch of microscopic porosity right of the D in UNITED. EDS but not quite the earliest state. There are no die cracks on either side but there is a bit of crumbling at the dentil roots above and slightly to the left of star 7. Satiny mint luster covers the protected areas on both sides and this cent offers outstanding eye appeal. Very close to AU50. The only defect is a dull, shallow rim nick at star 13. LDS. Die wear and lapping have removed all traces of the stray S right of the D in UNITED and the similarly misplaced O right of the second S in STATES. Glossy light greenish olive brown with traces of frosty lighter steel brown toning in protected areas on the obverse and overtones of sea-green on both sides. Possibly lightly cleaned and retoned long ago but the eye appeal of this piece is excellent. The only mark is a dull, very light rim nick at star 5. Sharply struck E-MDS.
