Banco Nacional de S. Carlos; 02.06.1782, Blankett einer Accion de dos mil (2.000) Reales, #11896, 35 x 24,5 cm, schwarz, weiß, Büttenpapier, Einriss mit Papier hinterlegt, etwas stockfleckig, dekorative Abbildungen, oben: Spanische Königskrone mit dem Kreuz auf Weltkugel, sitzende gekrönte Frauengestalt mit Herrscherstab in der Hand, gestützt auf einen Wappenschild, unten: Zwischen Ballen und Kisten sitzt in der Mitte Merkur, der sich auf einen Stab stützt, Kupferstich von C. Acuna und Troncoso, E82-2 nach Kipfer, Plattentyp 2. Das Institut wurde per königliches Dekret vom 02.06.1782 als Staatsbank konzessioniert. Die Subskription der Aktien verlief schleppend. Daher reduzierte die Bank den Ausgabepreis schrittweise auf 95, auf 90 und dann sogar auf 75 Prozent. Die Banco de San Carlos war von 1782 bis 1829 tätig. Am 23.06.1829 folgte die Liquidation und gleichzeitig die Gründung der Banco de San Fernando. Diese war unter diesem Namen bis 1848 tätig und firmierte dann in Nuevo Banco de San Fernando um. Ab 1856 firmierte diese als Banco de España (Bank von Spanien). Diese AG wurde 1962 verstaatlicht. Acuna and Troncoso, E82-2 according to Kipfer, plate 2. On June 2, 1782, the institute was licensed by a Royal decree as a state bank. Since the subscription of the shares was dragging, the bank reduced the distribution price to 95, then 90 and finally even 75 per cent. The Banco de San Carlos was active from 1782 to 1829. On June 23, 1829, it was liquidated and simultaneously the Banco de San Fernando was founded. This name was valid until 1848, when the company changed its name to Nuevo Banco de San Fernando. Since 1856 it operated under the name of Banco de Espana (Bank of Spain). This corporation was nationalized in 1962.
