1888. PCGS graded MS-66 Deep Mirror Prooflike. The 1888 Morgan dollar is occasionally available as a Gem with DMPL surfaces, however, it is rarely encountered in MS-66 as a Deep Mirror Prooflike. When examining this example, we find the fields actually "go black" when turned under a light, and the frosted devices glow to for the deeply contrasting, highly desirable DMPL effect on each side. This example is fully brilliant and the striking definition is sharply detailed throughout. Pop 7; 2 finer, 1 in 66+, 1 in 67. (PCGS # 97183) .
