1853 N-10 R1 Repunched Date MS60. Lustrous light bluish steel brown and chocolate. Very attractive and nearly void of marks or other defects. A thin horizontal nick on the eyebrow, a microscopic speck of darker toning just above the center of the eyebrow, and a speck of carbon just left of the O in ONE are the best identifying marks, and they are barely visible. MDS, die state b. The horizontal line at the dentils under the 1 is clear and repunching on the other 3 digits remains visible. Removed from an NGC slab graded MS62BN (NGC label #3217220-022 included).
