Japan: WWII Good Luck Flag (Hinomaru Yosegaki). A traditional gift for Japanese servicemen deployed during WWII. Screen-printed silk national flag, highly decorated with hand-written signatures & messages by friends & family wishing soldier victory, safety & good luck. 900mmx700mm. Plus small Imperial Battle Flag printed on cotton with hand-written message. 280mmx185mm. Also with corner tape repair. Very fragile, silk deteriorating (holes), edge damage tape repair, numerous stains (blood?). A poignant historical item. (2)
