ANCIENT BENGAL: AR ½ karshapana (2.02g), ca. 6th-4th century BC, four symbols: sun, six-armed symbol, bird, taurine, plain reverse, bold strike, EF, RR. About 20 or so pieces of this series, mainly the subtype with these four symbols, were found with the vimshatika series in the Mahasthangarh region, possibly two separate hoards, but full information remains unknown.
