ARAB-BYZANTINE: Beardless Bust, ca. 640s, AE ½ fals (4.53g), "year 3 ", A-3506var, derived from the half follis of Heraclius, Constantinople mint (but without mint name), K on reverse, crescent above, cross below, regnal year to right, lovely brown patination, VF, RRR. Later issue, likely struck after the initial Arab invasions in the 630s.
